fast food

After a bad break-up, you're well within your rights to disappear into a mess of Doritos, Haagen Dazs and fast food for a few days.

Usually this involves raiding the local Spar, heading to the McDonalds Drive-Thru and seeking refuge on the couch. Not for this woman though. Ohhh, no.

Tan Shen was on the train home after being dumped by her man, when she stopped for some comfort food at her local 24-hour KFC in Chengdu, China.

Now, we've all done the bould thing and ordered seconds in a restaurant, but Tan Shen decided to go for thirds, fourths and fifths too. One portion of chicken wings in, she decided that she wasn't leaving the restaurant. Ever.

At first staff didn't noticed her continued presence due to the shift changes, but as the week went on they began to get suspicious.

"I just wanted some chicken wings," Tan told Yahoo News. "But once I got in there and started eating I decided I needed time to think. I didn't want to go back to my apartment because it was full of memories of him. So I stayed."

After a week or so, media started showing up and the dumpee made the executive decision to head home and mourn her broken heart away from prying eyes. We hope she ordered a take-away portion of wings for the road…

The Cronut may be delicious but it’s so first-half-of-2014. It’s August, yeah? Time to move on.

The food hybrid trend however may be here to stay. Here are some more questionable combos from across the pond which might be making their way to Ireland soon.

Pizza-bon

It’s like a cinnamon bun, but instead of sugar and cinnamon all curled up in a roll, it’s tomato and cheese.

Is it a heart attack on a plate or the most delicious sounding thing ever?

Why not both?

Cragal

Similar to the cronut, the cragal is a combination of a bagal and a croissant. It’s essentially a cronut you can put cream cheese on. Mmmmm…

Ramen Burger

This is one we’re not so sure about. It replaces the burger buns with discs of compressed noodles to give a more Eastern feel to the American classic. We love noodles as much as anyone, but apart from looking a bit gross, doesn’t it kind of ruin the point of noodles? This seems like something a desperate student would cobble together rather than an actual invention.

We all enjoy fast food every now and then.

There is nothing quite like a delicious, tasty, fat-filled burger and fries after a night out or a messy, extra large pizza while we’re cuddling with our other half on the sofa. Mmm, we’re feeling a tad peckish now…

But do you know what you’re actually eating? If not, you definitely will after watching this video!

Brad Pitt maybe one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t like some fast food from time to time.

The actor was spotted at Wimpy in Essex on Tuesday, where he decided to order his evening meal.

Brad ordered a £6.35 cheeseburger meal, a £9.85 smokey barbecue burger with cheese, bacon and chips, a £2.95 classic cheeseburger and a £4.60 sausage, egg and chips meal.

Brad is filming in the UK for his new film World War Z.

One eye witness said that Brad was very polite to the staff.

“Brad was really polite and friendly to staff. He’s a fan of the Wimpy donuts after having them when he was filming World War Z here a few years ago, but sadly there weren’t any on Tuesday night.”

He plans on making a return too!

“He is expected to come back later this week to pick some up.”

Well we feel a little less guilty about our occasional fried treats now.
