Angie Bowie's sad news led to a darkly hilarious mix-up on Monday, as her CBB housemates assumed another 'David' had died.

Channel 5 producers took David Bowie's ex-wife into the diary room to privately tell her that the legendary rocker, with whom she has one son, had died of cancer.

But when she left and turned to Tiffany Pollard for comfort, she simply said, "David is dead," leading to utter confusion for the contestants.

"I can't keep this a secret, she told me not to tell anybody… I'm not able to not tell anyone," Tiffany told the other housemates in the garden, clearly assuming David Gest had passed away in the CBB house.

"I hope she's just joking but she said she's not, she told me that David is dead."

Minutes later, Danielle accused Angie of being "sick" for pretending that someone had died when he was "asleep in the other room."

Watch the whole thing here:

Speaking about the ridiculous mix-up, Angie later called it "a comedy of errors," saying, "it's on tape, I said David not David Gest, but I didn't say Bowie."

Later that day Kim K's best Jonathan Cheban made the decision to quit the house in a shock move, explaining that his time had "expired" and adding, "I'm not really into fighting, Tiffany is insane! It's getting down and dirty and there's a bad vibe in the house."

Just another day in the CBB house…

While the world continues to mourn one of the greatest contributors to music and pop culture that we may ever know, tributes and messages of love have been pouring out across the globe.

Bowie's face was superimposed across the front pages of international newspapers yesterday while fans arrived out in droves to bask in his musical legacy.

Meanwhile in Dublin, an apt mural has been created by locals featuring David as his classic alter ego, Ziggy Stardust, emblazoned on a bright pink background and the artwork can be found on Richmond Street.

Some lucky fans can also enjoy screenings of the class film, Labyrinth, starring Bowie and Jennifer Connolly in the Lighthouse Cinema this week.

David Bowie plays classic villian, Jareth, in the films and co-wrote many of the now iconic songs featured.

Tributes, memories and old photos have been pouring in on social media this morning, since news broke that music legend David Bowie had passed away.

As well as some beautiful messages from celebrity fans – everyone from JK Rowling to Kanye West has paid tribute – there have also been some more low-key tributes shared.

Like this one, for example, a candid moment from David Bowie's trip to Dublin with his wife Iman back in 1997:

The couple were in the city in August of that year for David's gig at Dublin's Olympia Theatre. The sweet picture was shared in Bowie's memory by Photos of Dublin this morning.

And they weren't the only ones who made a holiday around the gig, as they were joined by English artist Tracey Emin, being photographed by Bowie here with a very young fan on the quays:

"These photos were taken in Dublin, where we’d gone for the weekend," Tracey told the Daily Mail back in 2013.

"The little girl was an unknown interloper."

Bet that "unknown interloper" never realised her picture would still be doing the rounds 19 years on…

This story will either make your day or break your faith with society… so get ready for it.

Spongebob Squarepants is getting a Broadway musical.

Still, even if you have lost all confidence in humanity, wait until you hear who is contributing to the new musical.

In a press release from Broadway in Chicago, it was revealed that some of the biggest names in the music industry are taking part in the show.

Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, John Legend, Cyndi Lauper, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T's, T.I. and even David Bowie is contributing towards a special song.

The show will have a pre-season run in Chicago before heading to Broadway for 2016-2017 season.

Casting is being kept tight-lipped but the press release did tease some very basic plot details.

"The end is near. Only one sponge can save the day. But he's going to need help from some of the greatest songwriters in rock and pop music history."

"The SpongeBob Musical is a rousing tale of a simple sea sponge who faces the unfathomable. It's a celebration of unbridled hope, unexpected heroes, and pure theatrical invention."

We really don't know what to think of this one but one thing's for sure, it will be wacky!

Miley Cyrus has proven more than once that she is not shy when it comes to stripping off. But the singer decided to show off a different side to herself, by showing off a more natural and covered up look for the May issue of Elle.

Miley is posing in a sparkly jumpsuit from Marc Jacobs, which is believed to cost $13,400 for the magazine’s cover of their annual music edition.

The 21-year-old singer shared a snap of Elle’s cover on Twitter and captioned the picture: “#ElleYeah @ELLEmagazine @MarcJacobsIntl.”

Elle also commented on Miley’s cover saying: “Cyrus is wearing a sequined tunic and matching flared pants made by her bestie Marc Jacobs (the look is from Jacobs’ most recent fall/winter 2014/2015 collection), and she channels a little David Bowie in that slouch and pout.”

At Wednesday night’s BRIT Awards, supermodel Kate Moss emerged on stage wearing David Bowie’s iconic ‘Woodland Creatures’ playsuit, originally worn by him at a concert in 1972.

The playsuit was designed by Kansai Yamamato.

This was the first BRIT award won by Bowie for eighteen years, but he wasn’t there to accept it – Miss Moss did that for him.

Keeping us all in check, as if we had gotten ahead of ourselves, Noel Gallagher, who announced the award, said: “You maniacs didn’t think David Bowie was actually going to be here?”

We reckon Kate rocked that outfit and who knew it would look so good with black tights? We kind of want it…
