2016

If you were at Forbidden Fruit over the weekend, you might have been rubbing shoulders with some of Ireland's biggest stars.

Bono decided to attend the Bulmer's music festival and was seen watching Tame Impala take to the stage.

This comes just a week after the U2 star made an impromptu appearance at Bruce Springsteen.

But Bono wasn't the only famous face. Nope, our very own Conor McGregor was there too – and he was celebrating some good news.

Conor was seen raving among festival goers, just hours after his fight with Nate Diaz was confirmed for August 20.

Of course, when he was seen he was mobbed by fans, but the UFC champ didn't seem to mind, basking it all up in the sunshine.

Summer is FINALLY here! And we couldn't be happier.

But, do you ever notice that once the weather changes, it becomes drastically clear that our hair needs a bit of an update, too?

Hessions Hairdressing stylists love sharing their top tips and tricks for the changing trends, and here they have outlined four great new hairstyles that are going to be GORGEOUS for summer.

We already have our new gruaige planned out:

Bronde

"This flattering blend of blonde and brown tones has grown in popularity in the last year and is going nowhere! With celebrities like the ever stylish Olsen twins, Eva Longoria and Chrissy Teigen still sporting the look, bronde is set to be a big trend again this summer.

"As a hair colour, Bronde is perfect for clients looking for something soft, natural and not too high maintenance. It is also perfect for all skin tones and a great choice for someone looking to change their hair colour for the first time."

Ronse

"Stemming from the Bronde trend we have this stunning mix of red, copper and bronze tones. Perfect for red heads or brunettes looking to mix things up a bit, we love this super warm and rich hair colour.

"Think Julianne Moore and Emma Stone (pre MET gala). Ronse is guaranteed to liven up your hair style with stunning shine and make your eye colour pop!"

Baby Lights

"Babylights are perfect for anyone wanting to dip their toe into the world of hair colour without diving in head (or hair) first for an introduction to colour.

"Baby lights involves applying very fine strands of colour throughout the hair helping the hair to look multidimensional and boosting hair with colour in a natural way. Fans of this look include Rosie Huntington Whitely and Miranda Kerr."

Dip Dye

"Dip dye is still a big trend with the celebs such as Demi Lovato, Hilary Duff and Kylie Jenner.

"Blonde dip dye in brunette locks was huge last year but for 2016 it’s now done using more pastel colours & is perfect for the festival season ahead. Dip Dye is a cool and funky way to change up your hair with less of a colour commitment."

We all know the deal; every New Year we try to make these promises to ourselves and by January 10, they're ALL gone out the window.

We know the usual resolutions are to get in shape, eat healthier and work harder but sometimes there are other resolutions that can be life-changing.

So, if you want a promise that you can actually stick to this year, here's a list of things that will actually make a BIG difference:

1. Stop procrastinating

This is probably one of the biggest barriers that keep people from reaching their goals and once you get into a habit of procrastinating, it can be hard to snap out of it.

There are a few life hacks to keep you from putting things off, but once the procrastination barrier is out of the way, getting into shape or whatever you want to do will become much easier.

2. Meet new people

Most of us will go through stages of being stuck in a little rut and we usually end up staying at home a lot.

But meeting new people can be majorly beneficial to your well-being and it can even help you in your career. You never know who is just around the corner!

3. Reduce Stress

They say that stress is one of the biggest killers out there; it can have a destructive effect on your relationships and indeed, your life.

It may be one of the unavoidable features of life, but if you manage it well, everything will become SO much easier.

4. Get more sleep

Sleep is something many of us are deprived of, even though we need it to function.

But with smart TVs, social media and all sorts of gadgets glowing our way, it's hard to get enough shut-eye at night. You should be trying to hit eight hours of sleep every night, but if you can't shut off, try these simple tricks

5. Spend more time with people that matter

It seems like everyone is always busy, and this can cut into time being spent with family and friends.

Try to organise more bonding time with the people that matter and don't let anything pass you by.

6. Learn to let go of grudges and stop moaning

This is easier said than done. It takes a lot to overcome diversity, but sitting around a moaning is just counterproductive.

If you have a big fight with someone over a small issue, try to work it out. Forgiveness is much healthier than being bitter and angry.

7. Turn your hobby into your job

If you're tired of working in a job you hate, then it may be time for change. Starting new is never easy, but if you're passionate about something and have the drive to make it a reality, it'll work out and you'll never regret it.

There ain't no party like a Daniel O'Donnell party, right?

Well, TG4 seem to think so as they are saying goodbye to 2015 in a New Year's Eve special show, and Daniel is the host.

The show which will air at 10.45pm on December 31, will see Daniel celebrate with a wide range of Irish stars including legendary singer, Brendan Shine.

Mr O'Donnell will take to the stage to sing with Brendan in front of a live audience in Newry Town Hall. Daniel will also sing some of his well known songs on the special show.

Also joining the lads is traditional singer Treasa Ní Cheannabháin. So it's set to be a good one!
