Following the tragic death of a teenage girl in Manchester in the early hours of this morning, authorities have released an urgent warning to the public.

It has been established that the teen died after taking a 'Mastercard' ecstasy pill, and now police are appealing to anyone who may have also taken one of these pills to seek medical attention.

"We are appealing to anyone who may have taken this form of ecstasy, known as 'MasterCard' to get checked out urgently," a spokesperson for police said today in light of this morning's tragedy.

"Even if you took it some hours ago, this pill will still be in your system and could be seriously harming your health," they warned.

The teen had been enjoying a night out in Victoria Warehouse on Trafford Wharf Road in Trafford, Greater Manchester when she suffered an adverse effect to the drug.
