‘Doesn’t apologise’ There’s more to Nicki’s ‘shade’ than meets the eye
Media outlets had a field day this week when news broke that Nicki Minaj was throwing shade at Kanye West over the lyrical content of his 2005 smash-hit Gold Digger.
But if Nicki's Twitter is anything to go by, the press and public have totally missed the point of her comments.

Speaking during a lengthy interview with Marie Claire, Nicki made reference to the portrayal of black women in the arts and media.
Using Kanye's lyrics as a point of reference, she said “It wasn’t funny when Kanye said, ‘When he get on, he’ll leave your ass for a white girl,’ and Kanye happens to be with a white girl now."
"It wasn’t funny when it said it; it was the f*cking truth," she added.
And while the rumour mill went into overdrive over Nicki's supposed slamming of the star, the Anaconda took to Twitter to clarify her remarks.
“It wasn’t funny when it said it; it was the f*cking truth.” she added in a move which has forced her to clarify the remarks online.

Arguing that she has used Kanye as an example of authenticity within the industry, Nicki tweeted: ""Slams" a man/genius who gave me one of the biggest looks of my career?"
"I said he wasn't kidding, he was speaking the TRUTH about d industry," she added. (sic)
It looks like the furore over Nicki's supposed criticism was weighting heavily on the star's mind as she added to her argument online.
I was saying he's the one who said it first. He doesn't apologize for his choices. He tells the truth about stuff ppl don't wanna hear! https://t.co/V4RU5Rcolv

"I was saying he's the one who said it first," she continued. "He doesn't apologize for his choices. He tells the truth about stuff ppl don't wanna hear!"
We wonder what Kimye will make of it.
