Ana Hick: No charges to be brought following Irish teen’s tragic death

by

The Director of Public Prosecutions has ruled that no charges will be brought following the tragic death of 18-year-old Ana Hick last May.

Ana collapsed outside the Twisted Pepper on Middle Abbey St. after reportedly taking ecstasy during a night out with friends in the city centre last summer.

Speaking to the court, Inspector Sharon Kennedy of Store Street Garda Station confirmed that the DPP had directed no charges were to be brought in relation to the student's untimely death.

Ana's mother, Elga Hick, told Coronor Dr. Brian Farrell during the brief inquest that she had no further questions ahead of the full hearing which is due to be held on June 30th this year.

The Twisted Pepper closed its doors last August before reopening as WigWam.
