WAIT until you find out how much Taylor Swift earned last year
Looking ahead to the Christmas shopping and feeling the pinch in your pocket? Then prepare to weep.
Taylor Swift has just topped Forbes’ ‘Highest Paid Women in Music’ list, and we’re stuck between awe and despair!
Prepare yourselves – last year alone, the Bad Blood hit-maker earned a whopping $170m (just over €152m).
At the age of just 26, Tay beat off competition from Adele, who came in second with annual earnings of $80.5m (just over €72.5m).
Remember those elaborate shows from her 1989 World Tour? The ones that featured the members of her squad? Well, they well and truly paid off.
Indeed, Forbes revealed that the tour catapulted Taylor to the top of the list, raking in a quarter-of-a-billion dollars for her.

Sharing the announcement today, the magazine said: “Taylor has completely overtaken everyone on her list due to the phenomenal success of her 1989 World Tour.”
“She played nearly twice as many dates as competitors like Adele and Rihanna during our scoring period, and managed to fill stadiums…throughout lucrative North American markets and beyond,” they added.

Any chance of a tenner, Tay?
