Michelle Branch is saying goodbye to a big chapter in her life as she files for divorce from her husband of eleven years.

The Everywhere singer and her husband Teddy Landau split last January, but Michelle reportedly made things official last week by filing divorce papers, citing "irreconcilable differences."

Michelle and her former bassist Teddy wed in 2004 in a ceremony in Mexico. The couple have one daughter together, nine-year-old Owen Isabelle, and they will apparently ask for joint custody.

Despite being together for more than a decade, Michelle and Teddy's marriage wasn't all plain sailing, she revealed to People back in 2006.

""My relationship had a very rocky start," Michelle said at the time. "My parents hated the idea – and now love him, of course. My dad never wanted me to be with a musician. I mean, how unrealistic is that? I'm not going to fall for an accountant!"

The couple's age gap was also an issue for Michelle's family – at 50, Teddy is 19 years Michelle's senior. Speaking about her father's reaction to the news that they were together, Michelle said, "When he found out he was closer in age to my husband than I was, he got very nervous."

Well, with that bumpy start, we think the couple did well to last 11 years!
