Robyn Lawley really needs to stop making fans angry by posting selfies to Instagram. Did she not learn after the backlash she received when she posted this post work out shot?

In her latest selfie she decided to pose in a bikini from her swimwear collection, captioning the shot: “New sexier cuts coming to #robynlawleyswimwear that still offer the same support #retouchandmakeupfree #ineedatan”

Praise for the model’s decision to share her un-photoshopped body was quickly overshadowed by the outrage from people who couldn’t get over that she was a plus size model, because she doesn’t look very plus size at all.

One person wrote: “Plus size?? Are you freakin kidding me??!! If this is plus size, then everyone I know is morbidly obese. Wow," one user wrote, while another said, "the fact that this is plus sized makes me sick. she is flipping gorgeous, long and lean!”

Another told her to get real: “"You are not plus sized. You are a regular sized individual. No more, no less. It is an insult to people with real weight issues that you title yourself with this. #getreal.”

We have to agree that Robyn doesn’t look very plus sized, but we suppose when the average model in the fashion industry is a size 6, anything bigger is categorised as plus size. Hopefully models like Robyn will be able to change this!

Model, Robyn Lawley, has hit back at reports she has lost weight.

Following an image she uploaded on Instagram which showed off her toned abs, fans speculated that she had lost weight and no longer looked like a plus-size model. However, Robyn says this isn’t true.

In a post on her Facebook page, the model said: “The photo I took was through a mirror and I’m a model so I know how to pose in the most flattering ways … However, I have not lost weight … I even weighed myself to check, something I don’t like to do because I don’t need to check my weight.”

Robyn went on to say that she had taken up kick boxing and hot yoga, and urged women to accept and love their bodies: “I want women to embrace themselves for who they are … I want the fashion world to wake up and include size diversity more regularly.”

Robyn Lawley, 24, has built her career on having a fuller figure, so when she posted a post workout selfie showing off her new slimmed down frame, fans of the model were not happy.

She was obviously unaware of the controversy her photo would cause as she happily captioned the photo:

“The best kind of exercise? The one when you jump and dance around like there’s no tomorrow to awesome music!!”

The Australian beauty has only recently made headlines for taking part in recreating the 2014 Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover in a bid to send out a healthy body image message.

While we think she looks great in her selfie, we do hope she hasn’t fallen victim to the fashion industry’s model standards!

Mango has come under some hot, hot fire following the unveiling of their new line called Violeta, which caters for sizes 12-24.

The new collection has critics asking; ‘Is size 12 ‘plus size’?’

Given that today the average woman’s size is 12-14, this means Mango has just branded the average woman as ‘plus size’.

This follows the row on Facebook and Twitter when Cosmopolitan uploaded the photo below of model Robyn Lawley in which she was described as “plus size”.

Looking at Robyn, I think we can all agree she is beautiful and healthy looking and definitely a representation of what the average woman would strive for.

A huge backlash from social media seems to tell us that woman (and indeed men too) are finally fighting back against what the fashion industry is telling us is suitable.
