If the weather starts to pick up this week, and you decide that you might go for a dip in the ocean, make sure you’re not going to any of these Dublin beaches:

  • Balbriggan
  • Loughshinny
  • Skerries north
  • Skerries south
  • Balcarrick
  • The Brook
  • Tower Bay
  • Malahide
  • Velvet Strand
  • The Burrow
  • Claremont
  • Hampton Cove

Fingal County Council has issued a warning not to swim at any of these beaches as pump station overflow caused by recent bad weather has affected the water. Warnings have been placed at all the affected beaches, but the ban is only meant to last about three days, and so is the rain, so you shouldn’t feel too hard done by!
