Want a MOVING profile picture? Facebook has made it happen
Facebook is allowing its users to bring their profiles to life with some seriously cool new features.
Snapchat users will be familiar with the video-style profile pic, made by taking three selfies which are then played on a loop. Now Facebook has launched its own version: profile videos.
Soon we'll be able to take a short video clip of ourselves, which will then play on our profile on loop in place of a photo.

How cool?!
"Profile videos will let show a part of yourself you couldn’t before, and add a new dimension to your profile," Facebook said in a blog post announcing the new features yesterday.
Another big change is the addition of various personalisation options for profile pictures.

After over 26million people chose to use the site's Celebrate Pride filter earlier this year – a feature designed by an intern, btw – Facebook has created a whole new range of customisation options for your profiler.
Soon you'll be able to add things like #tbt, holiday or birthday filters, as well as choosing to change your profile picture for a specified amount of time.
For example, you could go green during Ireland's next Rubgy World Cup match, and then revert back to your original profile picture automatically afterwards.

For now the changes are only being rolled out to certain users in the UK and California, but soon we'll all be able to try them too.
