When one beauty blogger found black dots on a blender sponge, she decided to investigate further.

Little did Stevie Miller know then what she was about to unearth: a half a dozen beetle-like creatures that had seemingly buried their way into the item.

With her mother looking on via Sky, she documented the examination on camera. The resulting clip was then posted to her Facebook page and has now been viewed 1.5million times.

The 20-year-old, who hails from Suffolk, uses a tweezers and scissors to dissect the beauty blender – a pink sponge applicator which she had recently ordered from the US.

"I realised there was a slight hole in it, which confused me endlessly as I'd only just got it," she explains to the camera.

"I did a little digging, and found two, very obscure strange bugs living inside my beauty blender.

"They'd been there the entire time, and they were strange-looking."

Holding one of the larger creatures to the camera, Stevie declares that she will be "sending the video to the maker of beauty blenders and say you need to make them bug-proof".

Ms Miller concludes with: "I'm probably going to get some skin disease now and will never be able to leave my flat again.

"I need a shower, I need bleach, I need Jesus."

Never buy a beauty blender from another country.
