Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan are devastated at the death of their beloved dog Lulu.

The former couple announced the heartbreaking development on their respective social media accounts yesterday, revealing that their lovable pet died from cancer.

Dewan shared an older image of Lulu with their five-year-old daughter, Everly, who was clearly very attached to the four-legged family member.

Jenna posted a series of pictures to her Instagram account, captioned;

"To our sweet and fierce Lulu…thank you for being the best dog in the entire world and for fighting cancer for as long as you did. Thank you for your tireless love, protection and humour."

"Thank you for the adventures. Heartbroken doesn’t even come close to how it feels. But you will live on forever in our hearts and our memories…fly sweet angel," she concluded.

The Magic Mike actor also posted a memory to his social media account, captioning the black-and-white image;

"I’ll see you again baby girl. But you’ll always be with me. Always. Thank you Norman Jean Roy for this memory."

The picture shows the actor with Lulu running along the beach, what was a poignant and nostalgic moment for the star.

Those in the entertainment industry have been quick to offer their condolences to the actors, who met initially while filming Step Up, and announced their separation in April.

Paris Hilton commented on Tatum's post; "Sorry for your loss."

Hillary Swank wrote; "Ugghhhh losing a four legged family member is the hardest thing I have ever been through. Bless you both."

RIP Lulu, grieving the loss of a family pet really is heart-breaking.

In possibly the sweetest news today, the Queen has adopted a new dog because she "fell in love" with him.

According to The Sun, the dog, who's name is Whisper, was owned by Sandringham's gamekeeper Bill Fenwick, who passed away at the beginning of this year.

And after the Queen took the dog out on a walk, she decided she had to keep him.

"The Queen has always had corgis but she made the decision four years ago not to breed any more because she didn’t want to have a bad fall," an insider told The Sun.

“She was also concerned dogs might be left without an owner if anything happened to her.

"But she couldn’t resist Whisper and now she has asked Bill’s family if she can keep him."

The Queen was apparently very close to Bill, and his wife Nancy, who passed away many years ago.

We'd say Whisper is delighted with his new home.

Just when we thought we couldn’t love Ryan Gosling any more, he has shared the most amazing secret with us.

The actor told the world that he became a father for a year after taking in a nine-month-old baby.

A supposed message from the actor has been posted on his Facebook fan page, revealing that he took in the baby when the boy’s mum – a close friend of his – passed away from cancer.

He wrote, “This Father’s Day, I’ve decided to tell the story of how I became a father. This little guy was only 9 months old when I became his dad. His mom and I were great friends before she passed away from cancer. I promised her, I’d always look after him.”

“So, I had decided to step up and become his dad. He brought me so much joy. He was my everything. 1 year later after the adoption, his biological father wanted him. Of course, I put up a fight, but he won,” he added.

“That 1 year of being his father taught me how to love unconditionally. We have to stop and be thankful for our children and children should stop and be thankful for their parents. What I truly learned most of all is, every child needs love,” he said.

The 33-year-old actor also shared a picture of himself cradling his adopted son.

We’re speechless.
