Wow! Discovery signals AMAZING news for your phone’s battery life
Forget daily commutes and annoying work colleagues, the most stressful part of any day is the moment you are confronted with a phone which is literally on the verge of dying.
Thankfully for us, scientists in the States have stumbled – yes, stumbled – upon a solution which may mean you can actually leave your charger at home from now on.
According to a report in Cosmopolitan, Phd student Mya Le Thai has recently discovered that there exists a gel which can actually stop a phone from dying if the battery's components are coated in the particular substance.
Commenting on the find, chairman of UCI's chemistry department, Reginald Penner, said: "She discovered that just by using this gel she could cycle it hundreds of thousands of times without losing any capacity."
"That was crazy, because these things typically die in dramatic fashion after 5,000 or 6,000 or 7,000 cycles at most," he continued.
After putting the theory to the test a whopping 20,000 times over a three-month period, the team of scientists reported that no loss of power occurred.
This means that their discovery may just signal INCREDIBLE news for anyone whose phone needs to be charged at least 50 times a day.
What a time to be alive, ladies.
