Singer files for divorce after husband’s shocking sex scandal

In light of her previous comments that she would never rule out getting back with her estranged husband, it looks like all hope of a reunion for singer Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie is well and truly dead.

According to reports this weekend, the 27-year-old has filed for divorce from her hockey star husband, just days after it was claimed that he had been propositioning women for sex in Beverly Hills.

The couple, who have two-year-old son Luca together, were married for just over three years when they announced their separation in January 2014.

Since then, the pair have maintained an amicable relationship – even being photographed out partying together – with Hilary only recently saying that she would never rule out a reconciliation.

“If there wasn’t a chance for getting back, I think we would’ve filed for divorce,” said Hilary, back at the end of last year.

It seems that the recent allegations against Mike may have changed her mind, however. Just this week, a woman claimed that Mike had approached her in a Beverly Hills restaurant, asking her to ‘name her price’ for sex.

When the woman rejected his proposal, Mike is said to have become “aggressive” and was escorted into a taxi by security.

Just days later, Hilary headed to a court house to file divorce papers, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason behind the move.

This is sad news, and we hope the couple can remain as friendly as they have, for the sake of their little one.
