Confirmed: Nina Dobrev is headed back to Mystic Falls for series finale
From the moment she left The CW hit series, Nina Dobrev has been questioned about if and/or when she would be making her return to The Vampire Diaries.
With the show currently in its final season, fans have been going crazy wondering if Elena Gilbert would ever be reunited with her on-screen love, Damon.
Well, fans are now picking their jaws up off the floor after Nina took to Instagram to share some very exciting news.
“I know it’s Thursday, but this is not a TBT,” the actress captioned a picture of a script for the show.
And of course it’s not just any script, it’s only the script for the final episode of TVD ever.
Showrunner Julie Plec revealed in a statement:
“I’m thrilled to bring this show to an end the way we always intended – with Nina back to help us say goodbye.”
With the series finale coming on March 10, fans will be delighted to know they don’t have that long to wait till Elena is back on their screens.
