YouTube star Zoe Sugg, aka, Zoella has sent her fans into a frenzy the past few days.

The 25-year-old tweeted about about a big announcement which she claims is in the top 5 coolest things ever.

This news of a big announcement immediately made the majority of her three million twitter followers think she was announcing an engagement or pregnancy with boyfriend Alfie Deyes- and we thought that too!

Unfortunately, Zoe followed this with another tweet which quickly crushed all of our suspicions.

Such a shame.

It's just now been announced that Zoella and Alfie are set to get their own waxworks at London's Madame Tussauds, which we're assuming is the "exciting" news the vlogger was referring to. Well, it's no baby, but it'll do.

Apparently their waxwork will show the couple sitting on a bed together, uploading videos to YouTube. VERY 2015 altogether.

Vlogging couple Zalfie have shot to fame over the past few years with their YouTube channels Zoella and Pointless Blog. The couple moved in together last year.

Zoella may have gotten over the scandal of her book being ghost-written, but her trouble doesn’t seem to be over yet!

The YouTube star has now been slammed by police over a new video she posted to her channel which sees her driving a car while being filmed.

It has been reported that in the clip, the star, who has almost seven million subscribers – many of them young girls – takes her eyes off the road six times.

Speaking to Now!, the Metropolitan Police blasted her actions, saying: “She could have killed someone. How can anyone who has their eyes off the road for that amount of time be in complete control of a vehicle?… Anyone could have run out in the middle of the road and she wouldn’t have seen them or had enough time to stop. This is completely irresponsible behaviour.”

A rep for Zoella, real name Zoe Suggs, has released a statement that reads: “Zoe is an extremely careful and contentious driver. At the time of filming she was in mostly stationary traffic. She takes road safety very seriously and would never do anything deliberately to counteract this.”

We’re sure Zoe is finding her new found fame is also coming with a certain responsibility for her young fans, and she’s still on a learning curve.

If you hadn’t heard about Zoella before last week, we can’t say we would have blamed you. However, after the furore of recent days, it’s safe to say everyone has heard of her.

YouTube star, Zoella released her debut novel, Girl Online, in November where it sold 78, 109 copies in the first seven days alone, leaving the YouTube star speechless and on  a great high.

However, it wasn’t to last and now Penguin and Zoella have both confirmed that she did not write the novel alone, using a ghostwriter, which has led to much criticism. A rep for Penguin Random House told the Sunday Times: “to be factually accurate you would need to say Zoe Sugg [Zoella] did not write the book Girl Online on her own.”

Zoella, meanwhile, took to Twitter and said: “Thanks for all the positive feedback about Girl Online and for the doubters out there, of course I was going to need help from Penguin’s editorial team in telling my story, which I talked about from the beginning. Everyone needs help when they try something news. The story and characters of Girl Online are mine. I want to thank all of you who have taken time to support the book.”

Now, the criticism has obviously taken its toll on the rising star and she tweeted earlier: “Bare with me on vlogmas. I’m taking a few days out and off the internet because it’s clouding my brain. Thanks for understanding.”

It has been rumoured that an author named Siobhan Curham may be Zoella's ghostwriter due to a blog she had posted about writing a book in six weeks which has since been deleted. The book is believed to have been Girl Online by many speculators.

Will her young career be able to get up and move past what has undoubtedly been a very bad week for her?
