Sami Miro

In a world where it seems like some people are incapable of having an independent thought, the internet is here to expose those who plagiarise the work of others.

Forever 21 is currently facing criticism, after a recent collaboration with designer Sami Miro was called out for alleged similarities to the work of another.

Designer Betsy Johnson is the creative mastermind behind Freckled Ace, an independent, edgy fashion line which has taken over Instagram.

However, the designer recently took to the social media platform, to share that she feels that her fashion concepts have been allegedly ripped off by the major fast fashion house.

Forever 21 just revealed their anticipated collaboration with designer Sami Miro, and Betsy took major issue with some of the design elements in the line.

The uber-cool collection features sports luxe designs with a recurring barbed wire motif.

'I contacted sami miro in June to gift her some pieces from @freckledace , she accepted. I was very excited to see her in the collection,' said Betsy in an Instagram post.

'However @samimiro new collection with @forever21 is at the very least very similar.'

'After calling for a boycott of the collaboration and contacting Sami and forever 21 I have been ignored, blocked and critics comments have been removed.'

'I'm calling for a boycott. @freckledace is founded on ethical production and female empowerment to them be assimilated in a fast fashion context by someone I looked up to and sent me clothing to is disappointing to say the least.'

Betsy also shared evidence of her conversations with Sami in the screenshots.

The accounts of both F21 and Sami Miro have been bombarded with the comment 'boycott,' on many of their images.

'I see this ALL the time with larger companies ripping off smaller independent businesses ideas. It's so fucking unfair they have literally not a spec of originality or creativity in a whole team of people so they choose to steal ideas instead and it's not on one bit,' reads one comment.

The collection, called For The Lost, is no longer available on the F21 website, so perhaps the fashion giant is looking into the accusations.

Since Zac Efron made his movie star debut in High School Musical, he has always been our fave celeb crush.

And we bet if anyone thinks back to secondary school, there were at least one or two posters of him up on the locker room walls (don't deny it, we know we're right).

Well, the actor has just split up with his girlfriend Sami Miró after nearly two years of dating, so this could be our chance – in our dreamz that is.

An insider told E! News, that while the two still care for each other, they "did not have the same feelings for each other as they did when they first started dating."

The source also revealed that it was Zac who broke everything off, saying that "the spark had died" in their relationship.

The source added, "It wasn't an easy break-up. Distance and work schedules got in the way with their relationship and Zac wanted to focus on his career."

Zac and Sami kept their relationship away from the public eye, and the model revealed in an interview with Elle that it was quite different to date a person so famous.

"It kind of just comes with the territory, and I know there's no really changing that, so you just have to embrace it."

We'll embrace it any day, Zac.

Zac Efron celebrated his 28th birthday yesterday, but it wasn't all smiles on the actor's special day.

October 18 also marks the birthday of Zac's late cousin Emily Hobson, who shared the same age and birth date with him.

Emily passed away from cancer two years ago, with her death made all the more tragic by the fact doctors had told her she was in remission just a year previously.

The actor took to Instagram yesterday to mark the day, and asked fans for a special "birthday wish" for himself and Emily – a donation to US charity Stand Up 2 Cancer.

"Happy birthday to my cousin and best friend, Emily, who passed away from cancer 2 years ago – she was 28 like me," he wrote alongside a childhood holiday photo of the pair.

"We share the same birthday and this day is forever ours.

"My birthday wish is for you to donate anything you can to @su2c. Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes. Love you."

Emily was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, in 2009. She was 21 at the time, and was studying Film at the University of California.

After her diagnosis, she began working actively to help form a cancer support group in her area for young adult patients. One friend described her as "the true definition of a fighter."

In a 2012 tweet, Zac told fans that Emily helped him "get started" as an actor.

Zac's Instagram post already almost half a million likes, so we're hoping Stand Up 2 Cancer saw a big boost in donations yesterday.

Zac Efron and Sami Miro have never been overly public about their relationship on social media, but after a year together they've finally opened up.

The couple each posted seriously lovely-dovey Instagram statuses yesterday in honour of their first anniversary, which took place on September 5th.

Zac's been on a hectic promotional tour for his new film We Are Your Friends over the last month, but he was finally reunited with his girlfriend this week and wasted no time in telling the world how much he adored her.

"Happy anniversary baby 🙂 I love you @samimiro September 5th," he wrote, posting a picture of the pair kissing in silhouette.

Sami also shared an equally smitten Instagram update in response, posting a selfie of herself and her man with the caption, "Time flies when you're having fun. Happy anniversary baby I love you too @zacefron September 5."

How cute are these two?!

Zac and Sami were first pictured together this time last year, just weeks after his short-lived fling with actress Michelle Rodriguez ended.

However they only made their first official red carpet appearance as a couple last month, at the LA premiere of We Are Your Friends.

Sami looked every bit the Hollywood glamour queen at the August 20th event, weering a sheer minidress with silver lace overlay, accessorised with a white coat and a metallic clutch.

Zac has always gone for women who stand out from the crowd, a friend told People shortly after he made things official with Sami. The actor apparently likes "outspoken, independent women who challenge him."

We reckon this pair have serious staying power.

They have only been dating for a few months, but Zac Efron and girlfriend Sami Miro have just become parents!

No, they haven’t pulled off the biggest celebrity pregnancy cover-up in history – they have adopted a little doggy!

According to reports, the pair welcomed a gorgeous black rescue dog into their lives last week.

The pair took their little furry friend for his first public outing this weekend, bringing him along as they shopped for supplies in a pet shop.

Taking to Instagram to share a photo of their adorable little bundle of joy, Sami wrote: “There are so many dogs out there who need homes – rescue them!”

Just look at that face. We can’t even.

Zac and Sami first went public with their relationship in October, and were recently spotted looking very loved-up during a holiday in Copenhagan.

Forget Zac, we’re in love with this four-legged beauty!
