Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are in mourning after one of their dogs, Waldo Picasso, died last week in a freak accident where he was struck and killed by a car in NYC.

The Game of Thrones star and Jonas Brother were heartbroken at the death of their Alaskan Klee Kai dog, and have paid tribute to their 'angel' by getting matching tattoos.

"I miss you, Waldo," Turner wrote on her Instagram story, along with a photo of her new ink on her forearm.  "Rest in peace my little baby."

Jonas also posted an image of his matching tattoo on social media, writing, "R.I.P. my little angel."

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas both commented on the singer's post with emojis, while Turner's Dark Phoenix co-star, Jessica Chastain, wrote "I'm so sorry".

Tattoo artist Dragon, of Bang Bang Tattoo, shared photos of Jonas and Turner getting their tribute ink yesterday.

"Joe and Sophie, thank you so much guys," Tattoo artist Dragon captioned his Instagram post. "See you later!"

An NYPD spokesperson told E! News that a woman filed a police report on Friday, July 26, saying that on Wednesday around 11:30pm, a vehicle did not stop and struck a dog on the street before leaving the scene.

The dog was brought to a hospital, where it passed away. According to TMZ, Jonas and Turner's dog walker had Waldo on a leash while out on the Lower East Side of NYC

The publication claims that the pup "got spooked by a pedestrian" and ran into the street before being hit by the car. A Jonas rep called the heartbreaking incident "a freak accident."

The newlyweds apparently were so brokenhearted by Waldo's death that they went to see a therapist last week.

The passing of a beloved pet can be such a difficult experience, we hope they find some comfort with their other puppy.

This marks the second heartbreak to hit Liam's family, following his wife Natasha's fatal fall in March 2009.

The 45-year-old The Parent Trap actress passed away after suffering a freak head injury while skiing in Canada.

Natasha fell during a ski lesson on the beginners' slope at the Mont Tremblant resort.

We offer our deepest condolences to Liam and his extended family, who are mourning a great loss.

The tragic death of 22-year-old British backpacker Grace Millane in New Zealand has shaken the country, following her disappearance from a hostel in Auckland on December 1.

She was later recovered in the Waitakere Ranges area one week later, and a 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged.

He is scheduled to appear in the high court in January 2019.

Grace's heartbroken father, David Millane, attended a Māori blessing ceremony close to where backpacker was discovered yesterday, and has since praised the compassion shown by the New Zealanders.

David is taking his beloved little girl home in the next few days, but thanked the New Zealand police for a “concise, stringent and thorough investigation”, as well as the local media for showing respect and courtesy "at all times."

He also gave thanks to locals who took his daughter into their hearts, saying; “From that very first moment we have been astounded by the level of concern, sympathy and selfless help from every person we have met.”

“We would like to thank the people of New Zealand for their outpouring of love, numerous messages, tributes and compassion."

He continued in the statement, speaking on behalf of the Millane family;

“Grace was not born here and only managed to stay a few weeks, but you have taken her to your hearts and in some small way she will forever be a Kiwi.”

“We all hope that what has happened to Grace will not deter even one person from venturing out into the world,” he added.

Grace's father and uncle visited the Auckland bushland area near where she was found to receive a Māori blessing, which he described as a privilege, and a 'lovely and peaceful experience'.

David Millane shared a hongi (nose press) with a local uniformed police officer in Auckland, a New Zealand traditional gesture.

Candlelight vigils were planned for Grace in every city in New Zealand on Wednesday, many of which were organised by women’s refuges and anti-violence organisations and activists.

Grace's family are organising her funeral in her hometown of Wickford, Essex.

Our deepest condolences go out to Grace's loving family during this incredibly difficult time.
