If tough wellies, the smell of silage, and good road frontage are what do it for you… Well then, boy are you in for a treat!

Three 21-year-old girls from Meath have set up The Farmers Daughters Blog to help eligible Irish farmers find love.

Carol Lawless, Rachel Daly, and Shannon Kelly-Smith, who are all farmers’ daughters themselves, have gotten more than 5,000 likes on their hilarious Facebook page.

The uproaring site often posts a Farmer Of The Day to help those who are agriculturally inclined to find their perfect match.

Ms Daly and Ms Lawless explained to LMFM that they “decided that it was time to help young farmers get with other farmers. We didn’t think the page would take off the way it did, but we had 4000 followers within a week”.

The girls said they can’t believe the number of submissions they get on a daily basis of men (and the occasional woman) looking for love through the Farmer Of The Day post.

The three college students highlight the most enticing characteristics that they are looking for in an eligible farmer. These include the farmer’s acreage, type of farm, road frontage, and of course, their sparkling personalities.
