We LOVE who has been picked to play Kate in the new royal movie
She is undoubtedly the star of the British Royal Family, so we reckon Hollywood’s elite are only lining up to play the role of Kate Middleton.
Well, one very talented lady has emerged victorious: Charlotte Riley.
Charlotte – who is, incidentally, Tom Hardy’s missus – is probably best known for playing the role of May Carleton in Peaky Blinders, and will step into K-Middy’s wedge pumps in the forthcoming BBC2 movie, King Charles III.

Set in the future, when Prince Charles has ascended to the British throne, the movie follows the national controversy that erupts when he refuses to sign a divisive bill into law.
The movie is based on a play script penned by Mike Bartlett, who is the writer behind the genius Doctor Foster – so, basically, it’s going to be amazing.

Clearly, Charlotte is delighted with her new role, saying: “Kate Middleton is a really interesting woman, particularly within the context of this play, and it is a challenge I am really looking forward to.”
You and us both, Charlotte!

Do you reckon the casting director made a good choice with Charlotte?
