SHUT UP! Expert says high heels can actually be GOOD for you

We adore Blake Lively, but we’ll admit to being seriously puzzled that time she described slipping her feet into a pair of Louboutins as ‘relaxing’.

It seems, however, that the stunning star may have been on to something: it turns out that high heels are not actually all that bad for you!

This is according to a British physiotherapist, who has answered all our prayers in an article for women’s health website Healthista.com.

In a revelation that has left us reaching for our finest skyscrapers, BOOST Physio therapist Jolene Sher writes: “What is surprising is that as far as your back and feet are concerned, certain types of high heels can actually be better for your feet than some types of flat shoes.”

That’s right, in an article titled ‘8 ways high heels can be good for you’, Jolene explains how wearing a shoe with a heel can actually provide your feet and back with support that flip-flops and ballet flats simply can’t.

Before you get too excited, Jolene adds that the optimal height for your heel is actually two inches (hardly dancefloor material), but in general, a shoe with a wide heel and front is to be considered a good investment.
