Sam Smith shares health update after breaking bad news

by

Earlier this week, singer Sam Smith took to social media to break the news that a string of his gigs were to be cancelled due to ill health, and he has finally shared an update on his condition.

The 22-year-old, who has been forced to pull out of his entire Australian tour due to a vocal cord haemorrhage, shared his frustrations through his Instagram account.

Posting a photo of himself standing in the rain, swamped by a big hoodie and looking very miserable indeed, the star revealed that he hasn’t been able to speak for three days.

“Just to let all my beautiful fans know, I’m ok. I am insanely relaxed and am somewhere in the middle of Australia with no phone, no laptop and I haven’t spoken a word in three days. Trying my absolute best to be back on my feet and singing for next week,” he wrote underneath the picture.

Sam admitted that while he is enjoying the time out from his busy schedule, it has made him realise just how much he loves being on stage.

“I’m gonna go back to my black and white movies and pretend I’m Judy Garland for a few more days,” he added, jokingly.

A number of Sam’s fans took the opportunity to express their concern for the star, with one follower urging him: “You need to slow down, you’re pushing yourself too hard and you are getting too thin. Take care.”

We’re sending Sam our love, and we hope that he feels better very soon.
