River Island collaborates with Rihanna for their AW13 collection
River Island are continuing their collaboration with global superstar and fashion icon Rihanna for their Autumn Winter 2013 campaign.
The 80-piece collection incorporates a mix of urban sports lux with sophisticated chic. There is a strong emphasis on clean, yet glamorous dressing, and a nod to streamlined sportswear.
The collection will see metallic, tartan, camouflage, floral, stripes, denim leathers and other high shine fabrics like vinyl and wet look being used cohesively.
The soft jersey maxi’s, leather bra tops, bomber jackets, camouflage over the knee boots, mesh dresses, beanies, cropped hoodies and underwear have carefully been put together with a colour palette that balances the contrast of hard and soft in the range.
The Campaign was shot by Lachlan Bailey, styled by Mel Ottenberg, and directed by Rihanna herself, stars some of the newest crop of fashion supermodels: Ji Hye Park, Nayasha Kusakina, Milou Van Grossen and Tati Cotliar.
The autumn collection, which consists of the more sporty elements, is currently on sale, while the more glamorous winter collection will be out in November, just in time for the party season.
Both ranges will be sold in selected River Island stores globally and online.
