Petmania announces opening of new Galway store
Petmania have announced the opening of their newest store in Galway.
This new shop has been unveiled as a unique one-stop health and wellness destination for pets and their owners in Galway and the surrounding areas.
The new store for the Pet Experts is based in Wellpark Retail Park in Galway City and has been opened to support Petmania’s goal of bringing unrivalled expertise in pet health and nutrition to the area, as well as a whole host of high-quality services and pet care experiences.
The new Galway location is situated just 200 metres from the previous Petmania premises, and combines the best of the pet care retailer’s services and offerings.
This includes a new, state-of-the-art grooming studio and dedicated interactive customer hubs. There are also specially curated and merchandised areas for a complete pet care wellness and shopping experience like no other.
The store celebrated the grand opening with a family fun day on Saturday, January 20, and welcomed local pet-owners with their furry friends in-store to enjoy some complimentary treats and expert talks. Galway Rescue Centre also made an appearance at the opening event.
The layout of the new branch has been designed to create an experience that will nurture not only the bond between pets and their owners, but between Petmania and its loyal customer base.
This helps to reassure pet-lovers that they can trust and rely on Petmania as more than just a pet store – but as a source of valuable information, qualified advice and highly-trained expertise.

Located at Unit 8 Wellpark Retail Park, the store will house a full suite of experiences, products and services, including a state of the art grooming studio which will offer an extensive range of treatment for all dogs; interactive shopping features with a dedicated digital health hub where customers can access advice and tips; microchipping services; an extensive healthcare department and partner rescue centres who will host in-store adoption days as well as having an in-store donation station.
