Engaged presenter reveals details of romantic proposal

He announced his engagement to partner Ali Astall back in November, and now TV presenter Declan Donnelly has shared the details of what we all wanted to hear – the proposal!

While he comes across as hilariously cheeky, the I’m A Celebrity presenter is quite the romantic underneath it all, by the sounds of things.

Appearing on The Jonathan Ross show this weekend, the 39-year-old was quizzed on how he proposed to Ali, and it’s enough to make us reach for the ice cream.

Recalling the moment, while the couple were on holidays, the star said: “It got to the last evening and we’d organised dinner on the beach, and we went round to one side of the island – the only place on the island where you can see the sunset – and we just watched the sun go down and did it there, it was lovely.”

Sources previously said that Dec and Ali, who was his talent manager for over a decade, are “head over heels in love”.
