Caitlyn’s surgeons admit she had ‘a panic attack’ after her boob job

Certainly, the whole world has been hooked to the Caitlyn Jenner transition.

However, as most of the attention has focused on her physical transformation as well as her relationship with her famous kids, we haven’t really heard about the actual surgery that was performed on Ms Jenner – and her immediate emotional reaction following the transition.

Now, the surgeons who performed Caitlyn’s feminising surgery have spoken about the process that the Olympian underwent and her brief panic attack when the surgery was through.

Speaking to E! News, Dr Gary Alter who carried out Ms Jenner’s breast augmentation, explained that “it’s difficult to suddenly get the realisation, I guess, that you’re getting fulfilment of what you’ve always wanted to have done”.

“You know, long surgery, a lot of changes – so there was a little bit of a panic attack. But it could happen to anybody. It can happen to the housewife that gets a facelift, it can happen to a young girl who gets a breast implant.”

The surgeon who led the transition, Dr Harrison Lee, said that the type of surgery Caitlyn underwent usually takes around a year for patients to recover. But judging from the Vanity Fair shoot, Caitlyn powered on through and took only a few months to heal.

The father of Kendall and Kylie opened up in her Vanity Fair interview, where she described being overcome with emotion and the brief panic of wondering if she made the right decision.

“What did I just do?” she thought. “What did I just do to myself?”

With her feminizing surgery complete, it is not known when the father-of-six will undergo genital surgery.

Speaking in the issue, Caitlyn herself explained that “if you have a list of ten reasons to transition, sex would be number ten.”

Her former wife Kris Jenner has yet to speak out about the process, but we will most likely get the inside scoop when the new E! reality show, I Am Cait, debuts on July 26.
