Babe Power – reclaiming female empowerment in our day to day
Right gals, we’ve all heard that the future is female, but sometimes it can be a struggle to feel like a queen when the monarch is looking more like a patriarch.
We’re working flat out to be ballers on a budget, empowering ourselves through activism and keeping the brows in check, but sometimes we need a little reminder of how fierce and feminine we really are. Feminism is more visible than ever before, but we could do more to reinforce our own personal perception of power. Sorry, not sorry.
Luckily, one brand in particular is keeping our heads held high (and our style game on point). The peeps at Missguided have developed an unapologetically feminine fragrance for girls with attitude and ambition. Aptly named Babe Power, the moniker itself is serving sassy sisterhood vibes. While on the one hand, we’re getting our glad rags from Missguided for the night out we’re planning after the f*ck boy leaves us on read, we’re also adding Babe Power to our online basket while we’re at it.
I mean, we’re not getting ourselves down because we were left on read (sh*t happens), but any excuse really. When we’re slaying in the selfie, the boardroom and the gym all at once, it doesn’t hurt to serve up a signature scent while we’re at it.
With top notes of grapefruit zest, sour cherry, pink pepper, crisp apple, pineapple and rhubarb, the scent is as distinct as it is empowering.
One glance at the label when we spritz and go in the morning is all we need to stay feelin’ ourselves all day long. After all, Babe Power is a frame of mind as well as a fragrant essence – we’re doing it all as a memento that the future is female.
