Actor announces he is engaged after girlfriend pops the question

There is exciting news for EastEnders’ actor Danny Dyer who is engaged to his childhood sweetheart, Joanne Mas after she proposed to him on Valentine’s Day.

The couple, who have been together for twenty years and have three children together, announced the happy news to Hello! magazine, with Danny saying: “It was a complete bolt out of the blue but I’m so glad she did it because I don’t think I could have taken the rejection. I love the fact Jo proposed.”

The actor, who plays Mick Carter on the popular soap, also said that he regrets being unfaithful to Jo in the past: “I thought the grass was greener – but the grass was horrible and I don’t ever want to go there again.”

Jo also spoke about Danny’s infidelities, saying that they were not worth throwing away her family for: “It’s been hard but I’ve got over it. When you have children, it isn’t just about me and Danny. I wouldn’t destroy the lives of my babies for something that doesn’t matter.”
