VIRAL STORY

by

Ever get those nostalgic urges for all the things we used to play on as kids? The joys of slides, jungle gyms, see-saws?

Well this 20-year-old has a love of swings. So much so that he got stuck in a swing made for toddlers.

Apparently returning home from a night on the town, the young man apparently got an urge to return to the days fo his childhood- promptly forgetting that his backside as grown quiet a bit since then.

After getting lodged in the swing at approximately 5 am. The local fire brigade arrived at 7.50 to free the embarrassed lad.

When the "shove and pull" method failed to free him, the firefighters turned to a trusty screwdriver. After climbing out of the dismantled swing, the "grateful but embarrassed" man shook hands with the bemused rescue services.

The team then put the swing back together for more appropriately sized players.

When asked what the lesson of the story ws on Twitter, the Ipswitch police department hilariously replied with; "Always use age appropriate play equipment"

It will be a while before he lives that one down!

A simple pair of denim shorts have caused a major controversy on an American college campus this week.

Letitia Chai, a final year student at Cornell University in New York, has gone viral after stripping down to her underwear in a disagreement with her professor.

According to campus sources, in practising her final presentation, her professor said that her shorts were "too short" and advised Chai that she was making a "statement" with her clothes.

“The first thing that the professor said to me was ‘is that really what you would wear?’,” Chai explained.

Wearing a pair of shorts and a buttoned shirt, Chia was taken aback by the remark.

The professor then proceeded to tell her that she was drawing the "male gaze" away from the content of her presentation with her dress.

Chai then grew more upset as a male classmate agreed with the professor, telling her that she had a "moral obligation" to dress more appropriately.

Deciding to take a stand Chai returned to the classroom stripping to her underwear to give her presentation. She did the same thing again at her final presentation, which was live streamed on Facebook

She also called on her classmates to strip on support- and more than two dozen did.

"I am more than Asian. I am more than a woman. I am more than Letitia Chai. I am a human being," she implored her classmates, while stripping. "And I ask you to take this leap of faith, to take this next step, or rather this next strip, in our movement and to join me in revealing to each other and to seeing each other for who we truly are — members of the human race."

Comments on Chai's bold move were divided, with some standing by her demonstration and others questioning if the behaviour was mature.

Professor Maggor herself replied to the controversy stating that it was never her intention to tell her students how to dress.

“I do not tell my students what to wear, nor do I define for them what constitutes appropriate dress. I ask them to reflect for themselves and make their own decisions," she said.

The say diamonds are a girl's best friend, but that is absolutely NOT the case for 18-year-old Hannah Simpson.

Hannah always wanted a pony, and when her parents refused to get her one, her brother suggested she start riding a cow. (yep, we're serious!)

Seven years ago, Hannah started riding Lilac, who was a calf on her family farm at the time.

Fast forward to 2017, and Lilac has become somewhat of a jumping pro… and we are obsessed.

Hannah posts videos of her and her cow bff on Instagram, where they can be seen jumping over walls and tree trunks.

The duo also go for rides on the beach, and go galloping in fields… and it's all pretty epic!

All of a sudden, we really want a pet cow… anyone else?

Police in Germany are currently investigating a case, after a baby-for-sale was posted on eBay.

Whether or not this post was a tasteless joke or a seriousness sale is still unknown.

The popular website is famous for selling pretty much everything, but local police have been shocked to discover that the  infant has been listed online for €5000.

The concerning post shows a dark-haired 40-day-old baby in a number of different outfits, with the caption: “Child, 40-days-old named Maria … for sale.”

The post gained viral status after it was uploaded, and it was removed by eBay just 30-minutes after it was uploaded.

Pierre Du Bois, the founder of eBay, released a statement regarding the incident: “We received a lot of complaints from users and we immediately pursued the matter. In such a case, we provide the authorities with all available information.”

It remains unclear if the post was meant to be a weird sort of joke, or if the sellers, from Duisburg in Germany, were hoping to make a quick buck.

The website is no stranger to joke listings that sometimes include hoax items or attempts to defraud buyers.

We really hope that this was just a ridiculous joke, and that little Maria is in safe hands.

German police are still investing the incident.
