The BBC has dropped a scheduled TV series featuring Ed Westwick.

The series, called Ordeal By Innocence, has been removed from the BBC's Christmas programme schedule.

According to a statement obtained by The Metro, the broadcaster will not be showing the series until the issue is resolved.

'These are serious allegations which Ed Westwick has strenuously denied.'

'The BBC is not making any judgement but until these matters are resolved we will not include Ordeal By Innocence in the schedules,' said the BBC.

The actor has been accused of rape and sexual assault by two women this week.

Ed has also 'paused' his work on new series for the BBC called White Gold.

'The independent production company making White Gold has informed us that Ed Westwick has paused from filming while he deals with these allegations,' reads the statement.

Westwick has denied all of the accusations made towards him.
