Zach Miko is making headlines all over the world as he becomes the first plus-sized male model to sign with renowned, global agency IMG Models

The 26-year-old is the first of the agency's so-called BRAWN division which will depart from the a-typical male models we see in the fashion industry today.

Zach recieved international attention when he became the first plus-sized male to model for top US brand Target and was then scouted by IMG on Instagram.

"Being a man of size, I never imagined for a minute that this would be a possible career,' Miko said to Buzzfeed

"Then, Ivan [president of IMG] told me about his dreams for the fashion industry: diversity, inclusion, evolution. I knew then I hadn’t just found an agency, I had found a home.

"I consider myself a beefy, stocky kind of guy or whatever buzzword you want to use. I’m in the fashion business and I’m required to dress fashionably and yet I have size issues.

"It becomes defeating when I don’t consider myself morbidly obese, but I go to certain stores they don’t have my size."

IMG, which houses world-famous names such as Kate Moss and Gigi Hadid, is using Zach to launch it's new plus-size male division, Brawn.

Yeah, now we just can't wait to see Zach on a runway.

A male model has been stopped in Dublin Airport carrying more than half a million euro in cash in his bag.

The man was boarding a flight to Brussels when airport police intercepted him a little after 7am yesterday.

The Irish Independent reports that the 36-year-old is a top model and occasional TV presenter who is well-known and liked on the Dublin celebrity circuit.

It is believed that the man was under surveillance from the time he arrived at the airport for his outbound flight.

Revenue officials are now in possession of the cash – which amounts to some €570,000 – while they ascertain whether it is connected to criminal activity. They will be allowed to keep it for three-months.

Following questioning at the airport over several hours, the male model was then released.

He cannot be named unless formal charges against him are brought.

A spokesperson for Revenue said it was “the largest seizure of cash to date this year”.

We can all relate to the painstaking process of trying to find a part-time job. However, we DEFINITELY don’t all come out with the same results as this guy!

Christopher Kellie was 16-years-old when his mum drove him to their local McDonald's to drop in his CV. Instead, he left with the beginnings of a prosperous modelling career.

The 21-year-old Glaswegian explained to the Daily Record how applying for a job in the fast-food chain led to his new life.

“I had just turned 16 and my mum told me it was time to get a part-time job. She drove me to McDonald’s in Rutherglen and I handed in my CV.

“I had just got back in her car when this crazy woman threw herself in front of it and started shouting at her to stop. I rolled down the window and she asked if I would like to be a model.”

It turned out that the “crazy woman” was none other than the co-owner of the modelling agency, Colours Agency, Alison Bruce.

Christopher admitted that it took him a while to warm to the idea of calling Ms Bruce for an appointment as he thought he’d “get a slagging” from his friends but they actually loved the idea.

Mr Kellie has since become one of the nation’s top male models, having worked for brands such as House of Fraser and Barbour.

And it is certainly a good thing that the modelling worked out well for him because, as Christopher said, he “never heard back from McDonald’s.”
