While we might still be feeling winters icy grip, we're already excited for festival season.

With amazing gigs like The 1975 at Malehide Castle and Forbidden Fruit already lined up, this summer is set to be a great one for live music.

As if there wasn't already enough amazing acts on their way, Trinity College's Summer Series line-up has just been announced.

The Summer Series will feature six talented acts over six nights in a set of open-air gigs from July 6-11 2017.

The gig series kicks off with Gregory Porter in July 6, who will be followed by James Vincent McMorrow on July 7 and Bell X1 on July 8.

Next up will be The Pixies on July 9, Two Door Cinema Club on July 20 and rounding out the festival is Alt-J on July 11.

Tickets for Alt-J and The Pixies are priced at €54.65 including booking fee.

Two Door Cinema Club, Gregory Porter and James Vincent McMorrow tickets will all be priced at €44.05 each including booking fee.

Tickets go on sale from Ticketmaster this Friday at 9am, so we'll see you in the virtual queue.
