Have the EP blues? Here’s how to get tickets for next year’s festival

Whether you spent the weekend in a tent, at the office or watching the All Ireland Hurling Final, it’s likely you’ll be heading to work today with some major Monday blues.

But as the remains of the weekend’s Snapchat stories fade away for another week, we’ve learned that tickets for next year’s Electric Picnic festival are about to go on sale.

Okay so it might seem a little early to be making plans for next year – like most of us don’t know what we’re doing next week, never mind in 365 days time – but given the pre-EP ticket scramble that revellers have experienced in recent times, having Picnic tickets in advance mightn’t be the worst idea.

According to RTE.ie, passes for Electric Picnic 2017 will go on sale this Friday (September 9) at 9am.

Festival organisers say the event’s capacity will remain at 55,000 people as they don’t want it getting any bigger, but unfortunately for dedicated festival goers the price of loyalty tickets is set to increase by a fiver.

While there is still loads of time to prep for EP '17, we're sure there will be plenty of people looking forward to Friday.
