Paddy Power’s not-so-warm welcome for the Scottish

by

Paddy Power has showcased its rather hysterical (sorry, Scotland) billboard taunting Scottish fans just in time for their Euro qualifier, which takes place in Dublin tomorrow.

The billboard reads: “You may take our points, but at least we have our freedom,” over a ferocious picture of William Wallace’s painted face.

The betting company decided to play on last year’s referendum, where Scotland voted against independence and instead voted to stay within the United Kingdom.

The billboard is the second stunt this week: its Upper Baggot Street (beside the Aviva) was also engulfed in bubble wrap ahead of the England Vs Ireland soccer match to make it “yob proof”.
