#MeAndCats: John Berkavitch is a true Instagram hero on a mission

As a general rule, for every fashion forward blogger we follow on Instagram we must balance things out with any account involving pugs, cats, or delicious food.

So naturally, when we stumbled across @berkavitch we were absolutely delighted. It is comedy gold.

Also, it features cats. Many cats.

All of which are mostly one shape and size, but that is in fact what makes it so fantastic.

Let us all take a moment to appreciate the expression on that feline's face. It is the face you make when you wake up and look at all the texts you sent the night before.

John Berkavitch is described as a “Rapper, vandal, educator and surrealist” on his website. He is also a “human beatbox”.

Last year his gig in Edinburgh featured “three breakdancers with umbrellas who stand in as Berkavitch's subconscious and sometimes his conscience.”

His Slam Poetry champion has toured across the world at literary festivals.

John also managed to find the time in between all of these appearances (which included a TEDx talk) to discover his other passion. Photographing giant cats from around the world.

Ok fine, these are not actually super-sized cats, more like a nifty camera trick.

He uses the hashtag #MeAndCats, so now you know what to look for the next time you’re in the market for some giant cat pictures.

We did wonder though, are these cats really giant cats or is John just a very tall man?

While we were unable to get an measure of John's height, it is safe to say these cats are probably not cat-giant hybrids.

One time he held kittens and made us question everything.

However, his website also has the complete collection of his cat photos, to be found in the section cleverly titled ‘Me and Cats’.

He describes it, quite neatly as “basically me and various cats from around the world.”

A description that hides the true majesty to found hiding in the #MeAndCats collection. Just look at that fetching manbun and ginger cat ensemble.
