It has emerged that messages show Vernon Kay suggested to meet Rhian in "a very private location," and asked her not to tell anyone they were back in touch.

The texts which were obtained by The Sun, also show how they talked about their six year "breaking news anniversary," and moving on "to another meeting."

In another string of messages, the TV presenter told her,"you'd better get a wig."

However, a source close to the couple told the newspaper: "Vernon has obviously apologised for dragging it up again. Tess has forgiven him but only under some very strict conditions. The main one is that he never speaks to Rhian ever again."

Vernon Kay was supposed to be hosting The One Show with Alex Jones for the first time tonight but he decided to pull out at the last minute due to his latest sexting scandal.

The Mirror Online confirmed that the presenter is trying to console his wife amid the drama, as inside sources say the mother-of-two is "furious and devastated."

“She can’t believe he has allowed Rhian to become a factor in their marriage again. She’ll forgive him eventually but it’s going to take a long time to get things back on track," a source told The Sun.

“He needed to be with Tess for them to talk through exactly what had happened.

“It clearly wasn’t the right time for him to be presenting a family teatime show."

Despite the sexting claims, Vernon has denied sexting Rhian, and friends of the star say that he is being “stitched up”.

Vernon also released a statement playing down claims he was trying to meet Rhian this year:

Vernon Kay has allegedly cheated on his wife, Tess Daly.

It is claimed thet TV persenter booked a hotel room for himself and glamour model Rhian Sugden in January. The same model he was caught sexting in 2010.

According to The Sun, the 41-year-old got back in touch with the blonde model last December and the pair had planned to secretly meet.

A source told the paper: "Vernon regularly asked Rhian when she was going to be in London for modelling and she kept asking him if he was going to be in the Manchester area.

“They agreed to book a hotel room in January but it fell through because of work.

"Then they agreed to meet in London at the beginning of this month. But again the rendezvous failed to materialise because Vernon had family commitments at the last minute," the insider added.

Vernon's marriage to Tess nearly fell apart six years ago after the first cheating scandal, so we're hoping these claims aren't true.

The couple have two children together and Rhian is now engaged to Corrie actor Oliver Mellor.
