Fran is tying the knot!

Congrats are in order for Love/Hate star Peter Coonan, who is reportedly engaged to his long-term girlfriend Kim O'Driscoll.

The couple have one child together, Beth, who was born last May. Preferring to keep his private life to himself, Peter took a full month to reveal his daughter's name to the media. And with that in mind, it's no surprise that Peter is keeping his cards close to his chest about his upcoming wedding.

Speaking shortly after Kim's pregnancy was announced last year, Peter said the couple were overjoyed to become parents together for the first time.

"Obviously we’re really delighted and have only just shared the news with family and close friends," he told the Irish Independent. “We’re just enjoying this special time and looking forward to the future.”

After finishing up on Love/Hate in late 2014, Peter starred in Get Up And Go alongside his former co-star Killian Scott. He'll also take to the stage at The Gate Theatre next month to perform in Arthur Miller's A View From The Bridge.

To keep his nerves at bay he's been channelling his late mother, an amateur actress who appeared in the same play decades ago.

"Everything connects back to my mother, which is weird," he told the Herald. "The script I've been working off is the one she used when she played the part of Beatrice. For a lot of the classic plays I've done, I've used my mum's old scripts, which have her highlighter all over it."

No doubt Peter's new fiancée will be in the front row cheering him on.
