It's been almost two decades since All Saints released their first album and promptly scored a global number one with Never Ever.

Now the foursome are back, and if we're being honest they look exactly the same as they did in 1997, although they've lost the crop tops and combat pants.

Apparently we can expect a new album as early as April, with a first single, One Strike, out before then.

Shaznay Lewis has opened up about the writing process for the new song, and she admits it's a bit of a dig at Nicole Appleton's famous ex-husband Liam Gallagher.

"The lyrics came from somewhere very real. Nic was going through a lot of things at that time," she says.

"That was at the forefront of my mind because it was the heaviest thing going on. We spoke for hours and hours on the phone."

After a few years of success and two albums, All Saints came to a rocky end after an argument over a combat jacket at a photoshoot.

"'I would never in a million years have put money on the group ending over a jacket incident," Shaznay said in an interview with The Guardian in 2004.

"But when that incident happened, it fired up so strong, it had to be over."

The girls reunited back in 2006 for a much-hyped third album, but were dropped by their record label shortly after its release.

"I don't think it was done for the right reasons… I know that I did it for the money," Mel Blatt said of the original failed reunion.

"We got signed before we had even made music again, it wasn't like we felt we had something to give back to the world… we were given an opportunity and took it, without really thinking about it too hard."

Hopefully, ten years on, things go a little better for the famous foursome.
