Aw, this is cute!

It was David Beckham's son Romeo's 13th birthday last week and the teenager was given a pretty exciting gift by his dad.

Romeo led England out at Wembley – the home of English football – guided by the captain of the team, Wayne Rooney, who was there to give the kiddo a few words of wisdom ahead of the match.

The 13-year-old played the part of England's lead mascot for their match against Switzerland, and the boy looked pretty happy to be there.

Of course, David pulled a few strings with the FA to make it all happen!

And while he might not be playing in the match (yet) he at least followed in his father's footsteps by donning the English jersey, walking out on Wembley turf and singing their national anthem.

And as you can see on David's face, he was pretty cheerful to see his son on the field.
