It is the WORST when you show up to your car after a day out and find a big sticker plastered onto your car window and a huge yellow contraption bolted onto your wheel. It's something we all absolutely dread.

Well, one Offaly man saw a car that was about to be clamped and saved the owner's day.

Paraic Sullivan quickly hopped out of his car and got the owner a ticket to free them from disaster.

And as well as that, he left a really sweet note:

It read: "Hi there, I was parked behind you and you were just about to get clamped. I stopped them and bought you a ticket so they wouldn't clamp you. Maybe someday you might do the same. Or you can buy me a pint :)"

The next night, Paraic received a text from the stranger thanking him for his generosity:

The woman he saved was named Mairead and it seemed like a date may have been on the cards.

But, Paraic told the Daily Edge that Mairead is happily married with children.

It would have been a great story to tell the grandkids though.
