The 2015 Golden Globes took place in Los Angeles last night, and by all accounts it was a very glamorous affair.

Not so much for actress Kathy Bates though, who was left injured due to an unidentified incident during the ceremony. The actress, who had earlier walked the red carpet holding a phone emblazoned with the words "Je Suis Charlie" in solidarity with the victims of the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack in Paris earlier in the week, seemed visibly hurt about an hour into the ceremony.

The American Horror Story: Freak Show star "screamed out in pain and almost collapsed" after getting hurt, according to Us Weekly. An onlooker reported that poor Kathy steadied herself on a chair before heading back to her own seat.

Kathy was at the show to support her AHS castmates and was nominated for a Globe for her own role in the show, though she was beaten by Downton Abbey's Joanne Froggatt.

After the mystery injury, the actress "limped back to her table and looked to be crying in pain," said the source. Attendees and stewards apparently rushed to help Kathy after the unfortunate incident.

We wouldn't worry too much though, as Kathy was apparently back to full health at Fox's after party, telling reporters, "I'm fine now! I'm absolutely fine."

After all that, it's thought someone may have stepped on her foot – talk about suffering for your art!
