Ever since the news broke that Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield had split, we've been harbouring a secret hope that they might make amends and reunite.

Just this week, an interview was published in which Emma Stone said her heart "swells up" when she hears about Andrew, which has given us some hope… and has gotten us thinking about other celebrity exes we'd love to see back together.

Of course, if a relationship it ends it's usually for a good reason, but here are a few couples we'd still like to see reuniting, if only in a parellel universe…

1. Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake
These two were former Mickey Mouse Club co-stars and began dating back in 1999. Of course, they've both long moved on with other partners – Britney has been married twice and Justin recently welcomed his first child with wife Jessica Biel – but we'd love to see them back together if only for more epic double denim outfits…

2. Lauren Conrad and Jason Wahler
Who can forget when Lauren ditched the chance to go to Paris to spend the summer with her man Jason? Sadly, the risk didn't pay off, but we still dream of a world where this star couple from The Hills are still together…

3. Taylor Swift and Harry Styles
Taylor's split fron 1D's Harry Styles inspired some of her biggest hit songs to date, including Out Of The Woods. Their three-month relationship may have been short-lived, but can you imagine if they'd stayed the distance? Their children would have some seriously good genes… those cheekbones!

4. Heidi Klum and Seal
This pair really seemed like the ultimate celebrity couple, but sadly their divorce was finalised last October after seven years together. We'd love to see them back together for just one more of Heidi's epic Halloween parties…

5. Amy Poehler and Will Arnett
When these two announced their split in 2012, we felt like two of our best friends had broken up. Amy spoke about the split in her 2014 autobiography Yes Please, saying that the process of getting a divorce "really sucks" and that the whole thing is still "too sad and too personal" to go into detail about.
