Studies show this is the cheapest day to buy your airline ticket

If you didn't get a chance to fly away this summer, fear not!

Many of us have a case of wanderlust (but don't have the bank account to match,*sob*).

A new study carried out by Expedia has found the best day and time to buy flight tickets at a bargain price. Yipee!

The report analysed the costs of booking both domestic and international flights and the results show that it might be time to mark off dates on your calendar.

The study found that if you book your tickets on a Friday, Saturday or Monday, they will be over priced as these are typically the days when airlines charge the most. 

Instead, go for a Tuesday to secure your seats. 

And it seems to be all down to timing too as the survey found that you can save up to €250 on international flights if you book 171 days in advance.

If you're heading on a domestic flight, you could pocket up to €50 by booking 57 days ahead of take-off too!
