‘She gets super-stressed’: Conor taking 6 MONTHS off – for Dee

by

He may be at the top of his game right now, just a week after becoming the first UFC fighter to hold two titles at the same time, but Conor McGregor is set to take some time out.

According to UFC President Dana White, Conor has pledged not to fight again until May, after the birth of his first child with long-term partner Dee Devlin.

The decision has nothing to do with McGregor’s love of the sport or need for time off, however – it’s all for Dee's benefit.

White told the Los Angeles Times: “He won’t fight before May. His girl gets super-stressed out when he fights. He doesn’t want her having any of that stress while she’s pregnant.”

“He should take time off. He’s been fighting non-stop. Nothing wrong with him taking time off. It’s good for him and her, and it’s good for the baby,” he added.

The news comes just one week after McGregor announced that Dee is expecting their first child for May.

It’s nice to hear that Dee will be getting the VIP treatment from Conor. We’re wishing her all the best with the journey ahead.
