Red Hot Chili Peppers are mistaken for Metallica: Handle it like PROS

by

Growing up in a house with an Irish Mammy means we're used to being called by the wrong name on the regular – Hell, some of us even answer to the dog's nickname if needs must – but should we ever rise to the dizzying heights of fame enjoyed by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, we'd expect people to know who the hell we are.

Thankfully, the lads behind one of the biggest bands in the world clearly aren't as highly strung as us here at SHEmazing! HQ, and couldn't have cared less when they were mistaken for Metallica in an airport in Belarus recently.

Taking to Instagram to share a snap of himself signing a selection of Metallica merch, Flea wrote: "We were called into customs officials office at an airport in Belarus and they asked us to sign a bunch of Metallica cd's and photos."

"We tried to explain to them that we weren't Metallica but they insisted that we sign anyway," he wrote in a post which has been liked almost 20,000 times since its upload. "They had the power."

"Well I did play fight fire with Metallica once. I love Metallica anyways but I'm no Robert Trujillo," the world-famous bassist added.

Fans of RHCP were all over the story, with one writing: "That's the funniest thing I have ever heard' and another commenting: "That story has made my day."

If Carpool Karaoke wasn't enough to prove they're some of the soundest lads in the industry…
