‘My brother Keano’: Biebs cheers on the Irish soccer team on Twitter

Irish soccer fans were thrilled last night with our squad's 1-0 win over world champions Germany, but it turns out we weren't the only ones getting excited.

Singer Justin Bieber took to Twitter to send love to his "brother Keano" (a.k.a. Robbie Keane) – and to post a video of the team listening to his new single shortly after their win.

"Love to my brother Keano and the Irish squad on a big win today," the 21-year-old wrote on his personal page.

"Got this vid of them listening to #WhatDoYouMean after the win. Love it.

"Here it is. Robbie Keane and the Irish lads listening to #WhatDoYouMean after the victory."

Justin's video shows the lads listening to the radio on their team bus, cheering themselves on as "world champions."

The Republic of Ireland squad were no doubt celebrating last night after securing a victory in their UEFA European Championship qualifier against Germany at the Aviva Stadium

"Super sub" Shane Long scored in the 70th minute after being brought on from the bench.

As he is based in LA, it's no surprise that Robbie Keane might count Biebs as one of his celeb pals, but all the same we can't help wonder if that tweet was written by someone else on the singer's behalf…
