‘I will do her justice’: The Crown has FINALLY cast Princess Diana

The Crown has finally found their Princess Diana. The beloved drama series announced that Emma Corrin will play Lady Diana Spencer in series four of The Crown.

Commenting on the major role, the actress gushed: “I have been glued to the show and to think I’m now joining this incredibly talented acting family is surreal.

“Princess Diana was an icon and her effect on the world remains profound and inspiring. To explore her through Peter Morgan’s writing is the most exceptional opportunity ad I will strive to do her justice.”

Diana will appear in the fourth series of the popular Netflix show.

The casting advert for the role of Diana was revealed earlier this year.

It read: “She has to play charming comedy, flirt and social exhibitionist on the world stage, desperate and lonely self-harmer at her lowest ebb and the kind of psychological intensity of Mia Farrow in Rosemary’s Baby.”

A source revealed that The Crown’s creator Peter Morgan has no intention of holding back from telling Diana’s true story.

It is said the Royal Family may not be impressed with her character. The source revealed: “[He] is not going to hold back on how Diana impacted the Royal Family, just as he didn’t when he wrote The Queen. It could ruffle a few feathers.’

There’s no doubt the next few series of The Crown are going to be extremely exciting. We can’t wait to see Emma Corrin play Diana. There’s no doubt she’ll do an impeccable job.

The third series of The Crown will reportedly air later this year.
