Hottest festivals in Edinburgh this summer

Edinburgh is only literally a hop, skip and jump away, but it is often left in the shadow of London, Liverpool or even Newcastle as a place to head to.

But, did you know Scotland’s capital hosts a lot of festivals? We mean a lot… especially in the summer, that will make you rethink your travel plans.

Edinburgh International Film Festival 18^th – 29^th June

Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival 18^th – 27^th July
If you are a fan of jazz and blues then pop this date in your diary. Over ten days, 140 gigs will take place at 13 venues. From samba to swing to blues-rock there is sure to be something to tempt you.

Edinburgh Festival Fringe 1^st – 23^rd August
This is the largest arts festival in the world and includes everything from theatre to comedy to cabaret, musical and musicals.
