It was hard enough to handle when Tom Hardy announced his engagement – but now he has gotten secretly married we are at a loss!

The sexy actor was speaking at the Cinema Screening Sociaty in New York City when he called Charlotte Riley his “wife”.

Tom said: “Well, my wife is an actor as well so she sort of gets it.”

Tom also had some very kind words to say about Charlotte that made us swoon slightly: “Aw, she’s pure. She’s just a very kind, pure person.”
